Product Description

Ausmesh Mesh Fixing Strips are 2mm thick galvanised bend strips – folded to 30mm on each side. 1950mm long with pre-punched holes at 150mm. Holes on one fold of strip 10mm (for attaching screws), other fold at 5mm (for attaching line wire).

Scope of use

Suitable for industrial or commercial buildings with steel framing.

Product Installation

Fix Mesh Fixing Strip onto steel framing by using Buildex ^® Climaseal ^® 12-14 x 30mm Hex Head Self Drilling Screws (part number 6-311-0473-1CS) to fix the Galvanised Roof Mesh Fixing Strip onto steel purlin. Strictly follow the screw manufacturer’s installation instructions. Always check fixing details and safe loading weight with the building material specifier or design engineer.
Each Mesh Fixing Strip weighs approximately 1.8Kg.
Attach screw to first and last hole. Then every 300mm, total seven screws.
All longitudinal wires to be passed through the anchor point with a minimum of four full turns.

Limitations

Mesh Fixing Strip must be installed in accordance with the requirements of the relevant state or territory’s building authority.
Specifiers and product users must test for building structure materials’ compatibility with the Mesh Fixing Strip product before installation.
Not recommended for use for exposed structures such as canopies or awnings as it will compromise the durability of the Mesh Fixing Strip.
Not recommended for use for coastal or seashore and high internal moisture loading buildings.
No heavy roofing machinery or equipment to be placed on top.
NOTE: Not suitable for timber frame buildings.

Handling & Storage

Product must be handled and stored, whether on or off site, under the control of the contractor. Product must be protected from damage and weather, product must be stored flat, under cover, in clean, dry conditions and must not be crushed.
Mesh Fixing Strips must not be exposed to sunlight, dust, rain or other weather elements for more than 7 days. Recommended same day coverage by roof cladding.
