About Us

Kingspan manufactures Thermakraft wraps & Ausmesh Safety Mesh for Australian buildings.

We have three manufacturing and distribution centres in Australia - Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Backed by 30 years of experience in the Australasian market, Thermakraft makes vapour-permeable wraps that protect buildings, occupants and reputations. We’re also the name behind Ausmesh, Australian brand of underlay support and fall safety mesh.

Thermakraft is trusted by architects, engineers, builders and project managers. We firmly believe we’re only as good as today’s manufacturing run, so we never take our eye off the ball.

Thermakraft Australia began with Ausmesh, a well-known product in the safety mesh category.

On the back of our Ausmesh success, Thermakraft expanded into manufacturing and distributing roof and wall underlay products, flashing tapes and accessories throughout Australia. Our underlay products repel water from their outside surface and permit the escape of water vapour from their inside surface.

Thermakraft’s product line-up is proudly made in Australia for Australian building codes and climatic conditions. Our manufacturing facilities are certified or operate to ISO 9001:2015 quality management and every batch of underlay or mesh we make is quality checked before dispatch.

When the Australian building code changed in May 2019, vapour permeable wraps went from being a nice-to-have to a must-have for climate zones 6, 7 and 8. Thermakraft is committed to helping specifiers and builders with code adherence as Australia adapts to the new requirements.

In August 2021, Kingspan Insulation acquired Thermakraft Ltd, positioning itself to provide a broader range of solutions to its customers both in Australia and New Zealand.

Kingspan is the global company providing insulation and building envelope solutions, active across 70 countries and 170 manufacturing sites including Australia and New Zealand.

Our Values

Our values are benchmarks we use to measure how we live up to the Australian construction market's expectations.

1. Do the best by each other

We protect each other's productivity, safety, and growth as a team to support personal and business success. For our customers, we strive for our products to perform according to expectations to protect the longevity and functionality of buildings.

2. Always look for a better way

Continual improvement is important to us, because it’s how we stay ahead of our competitors. We encourage our engineering, manufacturing and distribution teams to continuously look for ways to improve our products and systems.

3.  Excellence in everything we do

Every batch of product we make is sampled and tested before it moves to our distribution channel. Likewise, every new product we develop is researched and tested before we decide it’s worthy of wearing our brand.

We know that trust takes years to build and seconds to break.

Quality assurance is everything to us.

Our team is here to provide knowledge and support to make sure your needs are looked after.
